MOVE~GLUASAD
Move began life as an intimate studio theatre piece merging traditional Gaelic keening and lamentation with multi-lingual story telling. “It is a production at once rooted and outward looking, unsentimental and sincere, with a sound, if not to die for, then at the very least to be reborn to” wrote Mark Fisher of the Guardian in his ★★★★ review of it’s premiere performance at Celtic Connections. The show was programmed as part of Made In Scotland 2020 but due to the Covid19 pandemic was postponed until 2021. In response to the limitations of the pandemic, Disaster Plan teamed up with Slung Low and the Traverse Theatre to reimagine the show as the epic beach opera which went on to become MOVE.
